Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico has had a history of being exploited for its economic incentives.

When Spanish colonizers came to the island, they used the natural resources of the environment to better their economy. When the country became a U.S. commonwealth, this did not end. Puerto Rico is currently facing a displacement crisis that started with an attempt to encourage economic growth.
